Baseball and Other Stuff...
Well, baseball is in full swing. Mike and I aren't use to what we are considering a "real" sport. Up until now, all our kids have played sports through the YMCA where there is one 1-hour practice each week and a game on Saturday. Well, this year, Ben was old enough to play with the local little league on their 7-8 year old, machine pitch teams. Starting at the beginning of March, he had two 1.5-hour practices each week and then beginning April 1st he has at least two games each week (about 2 hours each) and then sometimes one or two 1.5-hour practices during the week as well. Some of you out there might be thinking that it's nothing compared to your crazy life, but we are rookies at this. PLUS, we have a 3.5-year old and 14-month old that don't really care much about sitting still and watching a baseball game. So, it's been a bit challenging, but we are happy to do it. Ben is doing well and loves every minute of it, so it's worth it. The season doesn't end until May 31st, so maybe by the end we won't think twice about the busyness of it.
I've always thought that Ben has such a good running stride...
