Snow

Here is a small glimpse of the fun we had in our week of snow.

Igloo

 Fort

 Snow angels (even better ones were made when there was a lot of snow)

  Sledding in the yard, including night sledding as a family, which was a lot of fun.

 Snowmen

The week of snow also included lots of hot cocoa drinking, LEGO playing, movie watching, and the dryer running nonstop to keep the snow clothes dry and ready to go back out again.  We enjoyed our week of snow!

This photo was taken at the end of the snow week, where most of it had melted, but not all.  This bald eagle was in a very tall tree just beyond our back yard, eating a duck.  Another bald eagle came along and landed on a branch above and sat for a while.  We thought the birds were friends, but then the other eagle swooped down towards our house then turned back to the tree and tried getting the duck from the other eagle.  Unfortunately the duck fell to the ground and the eagles flew off.  This tree is in a cluster of trees, so we assumed it was too hard for the eagles to get down to the ground to retrieve the duck.  It was very exciting for the kids to see this.
